CUTLER HALL COLORADO COLLEGE

Project Overview: 2,500 SF Renovation

This 117 year old hidden treasure is located in the center of campus. Most of its original craftsmanship and charm was lost in failed attempts of updating or maintaining the facility. The occupants desired additional private offices, waiting areas, conference rooms and orientation space. Building boundaries were established, and experience in space planning was critical to the success of the project. The removal of suspended grid ceiling uncovers original barrel vault ceilings. Missing cove base, chair rails, ceiling moulds, and rosettes were restored or reproduced. Historical color schedules were researched and period-oriented colors of dark royal blue carpet and bronze-toned accent walls were added. Hand beveled rugs with original bench seating adorns the entrance hall, and period furnishings were specified and purchased. After completion of the renovation, the following semester student enrollments doubled.
Existing draperies were provided by Pheasant Hill Designs
