Project Overview: 170,000 SF Addition / 42,000 SF Renovation
Renovation begins with the auditorium of this high school’s art minded community. As a magnet school for “Advanced Placement” students in art and science programs, sophisticated college level design is important to attract students from out of school boundaries. The culture of art, theatre and music is portrayed in the patterns and finishes seen throughout the auditorium, commons area and mimicked in the classroom corridors. The stimulating color palette is intended to enhance prominent features and path ways for the students. Large gathering spaces incorporate special acoustic features such as acoustic clouds and wall panels. Durable, functional and practical surface materials are a necessity in facilities that last decades of time, such as high density vinyl composition floor tile and concrete block patterning. Completed on time and within anticipated budget, this project exceeded client expectations.
