Project Overview: 460,000 SF (156 beds) New Facility
The surrounding prairie landscape inspires the soothing hues and textures from which this full service hospital makes a connection with the native environment. The design prioritizes a healthful, welcoming, stress free environment for patients. Patient confusion is eliminated with traffic directed through curving pathways of floor tile, ceiling treatment and strong accent color. Conceptual ideas, effective space planning, selection of finish materials, creating detail drawings and writing specifications are part of the comprehensive interior package.
Purchasing oversight, coordination and placement of approximately 5,000 pieces of existing, restored or new furniture and 1,500 pieces of art work accomplish a turn key project for the owner. Consideration for sustainability was made at every level of the project. Due to effective planning and budgeting, the owner was able to occupy two months earlier than anticipated with a 3% total project budget savings. The American Society of Interior Design recognizes this project with the 2009 Award for Healthcare over 50k SF.
